Location

Anam Arís Cottages (Maamstrasna Lodge) is on the L1301, about 10 minutes west of Toormakeady village

From Ballinrobe or Westport:

  • Take the R300 toward Toormakeady.
  • Pass Cois Locha Community Centre and St Mary’s Church on your left.
  • Continue straight for ~7 km with Lough Mask on your right.
  • Look for a stone boundary wall running along the roadside.
  • The entrance to Maamstrasna Lodge is discreet — marked by two green poles beside the stone wall. The house is not visible from the road, so slow after the Maam Bridge signpost.
  • Turn in through the green poles, parking on the gravel driveway in front of the stone wall and green shed door. Open the green gate to access steps leading up to the house.

Landmarks nearby:

  • The Lough Mask Viewing Point appears a few minutes before the property.
Maam River Bridge means you’re almost there — the entrance is about 300 m beyond on the left.
